A cinema in the sky, a secret live-music gig and exhibit views of Cork from the bow of a kayak all form part of the city’s line up for Culture Night tomorrow.
County Hall will morph into Ireland’s tallest cinema, with a series of films to be screened on the 16th floor of the building, the Republic’s second tallest.
Screenings include a documentary detailing the variety of crafts made by members of the West Cork Craft and Design Guild. An Inspired Gatheringby Robb Bradstock is narrated by the guild's patron, Jeremy Irons. A series of "first films" by adults and seniors attending cinema workshops with film maker Dónal Ó Céilleachair will feature. The schedule includes performances by the Pyke Theatre Company, the Cork International Folk Dance Festival, choral singing and poetry.
