The Church of Ireland's electoral college is to meet next month to choose a replacement for the Bishop of Clogher, Rt Rev Brian Hannon, who retired last Friday.

Bishop Hannon's duties will be carried out by Archdeacon of Clogher, Venerable Cecil Pringle until the election on November 8th.

The Church of Ireland Primate Dr Robin Eames paid tribute to Bishop Hannon. "His contribution to debates was always well informed and sensitive," he said.
