The families of the two 19-year-old Chinese students who were killed this month in a Dublin apartment have expressed thanks to the people of Ireland for their support and respect.

In a statement issued through the Chinese embassy in Dublin yesterday, Mr Yue Feng's father and Ms Liu Qing's uncle praised the patience and diligence of the Garda, the Chinese embassy and the Chinese and Irish communities in Dublin.
