Women with experience of raising children are being employed in a project in Rialto, Dublin, to help local families with parenting and childcare.
The Lord Mayor of Dublin, Cllr Brendan Lynch, will officially open the Family Support Service today.
Six women have been working with local families since Christmas and another four to six will be recruited.
