Johannesburg - A German chef has been convicted of murder after a Namibian court heard how he dismembered his wife and baked parts of her body in an oven.

Thomas Adolf Florin, 32, was sentenced to life in prison. He had told neighbours that his wife was visiting Cape Town.

But they became suspicious after visiting the house and noticing a big pot on the stove which they described in court as being "terribly burned". They began searching and found Mrs Florin's skull in a plastic bag.
