The Society of St Vincent de Paul announced its third annual Scrap Gold Week yesterday. The fund-raising campaign starts next Monday. The organisation wants people to donate broken bits of gold jewellery and other worn or damaged gold items that they are finished with.
All items will be valued by a refiner. The organisation is hoping to raise at least £10,000.
