Chalice sought by museum head

A museum director has called for the return of the Derrynaflan Chalice to Co Tipperary

A museum director has called for the return of the Derrynaflan Chalice to Co Tipperary. Mr George Willoughby, director of St Mary's Famine Memorial Museum in Thurles, said that items such as the chalice ought to be kept in their "natural home" in the interests of local tourism, local employment and local business. "While the National Museum is needed, we ought to have mini-museums around the country."
