The mother of two Limerick children burned in a petrol bomb attack on a car five years ago has praised her children for continuing to deal with the mental and physical scars they have suffered every day since the unprovoked attack.
Millie (6) and Gavin (4) sustained horrific burns when a petrol bomb was thrown into their mother’s car in which they were strapped by their seatbelts in Moyross, Limerick, in September 2006.
Sheila Murray had earlier refused to give a lift to three teenagers and the petrol bomb was thrown at the car as a reprisal.
In October 2007, the three youths were convicted and jailed for their parts in the incident.
