A Palestinian human rights group has demanded Israel be pressured into allowing over 200 Palestinians stuck at a checkpoint in the Gaza Strip for several days to return homes.

The Palestinian Centre for Human Rights called on international humanitarian groups and the world community to "intervene quickly" with Israel to open the checkpoint.

The Palestinians have been stuck for three days at the checkpoint leading to the Al-Mawassi area of the city of Khan Yunis.
