The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds fears a new runway and other building work will drive away thousands of birds which inhabit the adjoining mudflats of Lough Foyle.

The society is seeking a judicial review in the High Court aimed at quashing the granting of planning permission by the Department of the Environment.
