THE BSE crisis will mean the State spending an additional £16 million in Border security this year, the Minister for Justice revealed.

Replying to Ms Frances Fitzgerald (FG, Dublin South East), Mrs Owen said that of the 327 gardai assigned to Border duty, 165 were from the Dublin metropolitan area.
