London - A jail sentence of seven years imposed by a Burmese court on a British woman who chanted a pro-democracy song was met with shock by her family and by the Foreign Office yesterday. Ms Rachel Goldwyn (28) was sentenced to seven years with labour by a court in Burma, dashing all hopes that she would be merely expelled from the country for her alleged crime.
