British Airways suspends Israel, Kuwait flights

British Airways is suspending services to Kuwait and Israel because of the imminent attack on Iraq, it was announced today.

The last London-to-Kuwait flight will operate today, and London-Tel Aviv services will cease after a final flight tomorrow.

"We are suspending services in the light of Foreign Office advice about travel to these areas," said a BA spokeswoman.

BA operates one flight a day between Heathrow and Kuwait, and there is a twice-a-day Heathrow-Tel Aviv service. There will be just one London-to-Israel flight tomorrow before the service is suspended.
