Val Manning's West Cork Food Fair was one of the very first festivals to highlight the work of Ireland's artisan producers, and this year's festival, on June 27th and 28th, will once again bring together the great and the good in the food world to Manning's Emporium, in Ballylickey, west Cork.
Those peripatetic practitioners who are the Temple Bar Market stallholders will be making the trip to the south-west, and on the Sunday there will be demonstrations by leading Irish chefs, including Cork's own Michael Clifford. It all promises to be mighty crack, and the Minister for Agriculture, Joe Walsh T.D. will be there to send it on its way.
