The finals of the Irish Bridge Union's all-Ireland club pairs championships, sponsored by The Irish Times, will take place in the Glenroyal Hotel, Maynooth, Co. Kildare, next weekend.
Two competitions will be run - master/intermediate A and intermediate B - with the first sessions starting at 1.30 p.m. on Saturday.
Six Irish internationals performed splendidly by reaching the semi-finals of the English Bridge Union's spring foursomes in Stratford. They were T. Hanlon, Dr H. McGann, Dr G.M. Keaveney and R. Timlin in one semi-final, while P. O Briain and T. Roche played in the other with A. Thomas and P. Goodman of Wales.
