THE annual international match (Corn Cairdis Trophy) between the Contract Bridge Association of Ireland, and the English Bridge Union will take place in the Galway Centre on February 23rd-24th. The world's best woman player, Sandra Landy, will be on the visitors' team. Kibitzers are welcome.
The Torc congress will be held in the Gleneagle, Killarney, from February 22nd-24th. There will be gala open pairs on Friday (7.45 p.m.). The two session major pairs will be played on Saturday (2 p.m.), with entertainment afterwards. The teams will be decided over an extended session on Sunday (11 a.m.)

The inter golf club team championship (Mollie Fox Cup) will be run on March 6th and 13th (7.30 pm.) in the Elm Park golf club, Dublin. Each team must consist of members of the same golf club.
