There has been a breakthrough in talks between unions and management at the ESB.
In a statement this evening a company spokesman said: "Following intensive discussions over a number of days a set of proposals have emerged which will be put to unions tomorrow morning.
"Both sides have agreed the details will not divulged and no further statements will be issued at this stage."
Earlier unions at the company warned significant progress must be made in talks with management today if a strike is to be averted.
Strike notice was served two weeks ago.
SIPTU and the ESB Officers' Association are leading a group of unions, which includes the TEEU, MSF and the ATGWU, in seeking a 30 per cent pay claim the company says would increase its wage bill by 40 per cent.
