Brazil's football crisis suffered a fresh blow on Wednesday when they began the defence of their Copa America crown with a shock 1-0 defeat to Mexico.

They are bottom of Group B following Thursday's matches, which saw Peru and Paraguay play out a thrilling 3-3 draw in the curtain-raiser at the Pascual Guerrero Stadium.
