Rio De Janeiro - With more rain forecast, authorities in Brazil's Rio de Janeiro state yesterday extended a state of alert imposed after landslides and floods killed 43 and left 2,000 homeless.
Another 48 are still missing after more rain fell in 16 hours on Sunday than the area averages for the entire month of December.
