A 15-year-old boy charged with the manslaughter of student Alan Higgins in October has been further remanded on bail at the Dublin Children's Court.
Judge Geoffrey Browne heard that the State was looking for another adjournment of the cases against the boy and two 16-year-olds, charged with associated offences, pending the DPP's directions.
When the boy was charged in court on October 15th last, it was indicated that due to the complexities of the investigation, directions may not by ready within the initial four-week remand period and that a further adjournment would be sought.
On October 15th, Det Sgt Donal Brazel told the court he arrested the boy at 12.41 a.m. that morning at Coolock Garda Station.
Later that day, the court heard the boy was charged with the manslaughter of Mr Higgins (17), who died after he was allegedly attacked and robbed near the UCI cinema complex in Coolock on the night of October 12th last.
The boy was then given bail until today under certain conditions.
Det Sgt Brazel had also said a file has been sent to the DPP and that there was a likelihood of further charges.
