Czech police defused a bomb found on a rail track in the Prague suburb of Kyje, only hours before US President George W Bush was to arrive in the Czech capital for a NATO summit, a spokeswoman said.
In another incident, a train hit a wrecked car placed on a track between the Prague central train station and a station nearby, a police spokeswoman said.
It was not known who had left either the bomb or the car or if this had any connection with Bush's visit or the summit. There were no injuries, the spokeswoman said.
Mr Bush is to arrive in Prague later today ahead of the summit on Thursday and Friday.
