La Paz - Bolivians demanding the cancellation of their debts freed over 100 state employees yesterday, ending a one-day stand-off during which they had draped several of their hostages in dynamite. Meanwhile in Bogota, Colombia, 10 inmates were killed and 15 injured in a prison riot which broke out after common criminals foiled an escape plan by FARC guerrilla inmates.
