The third body recovered from the burnt-out Shropshire home of millionaire businessman Christopher Foster has been confirmed as that of his 15-year-old daughter Kirstie, police said today.

Detectives believe Foster killed his daughter and 49-year-old wife Jill before setting his detached house and outbuildings alight and then taking his own life.

Police had been confident the third body was his daughter's, but had been waiting for the results of DNA tests.

Her parents had been identified from dental records.

Police say Jill Foster died from a shotgun wound to the head before the fire was started at Osbaston House, Maesbrook, last month.

Causes of death for her husband and daughter have yet to be established.

Forensic officers are still sifting through the gutted remains of the property to establish the exact chain of events.

Police have said CCTV footage showed a man they strongly believed to be Christopher Foster in the grounds of the mansion with what appeared to be a rifle early on August 26th.

It also showed outbuildings going up in flames around the same time and a large horse box being driven down the driveway, blocking the main gates.
