Luanda - The British Foreign Office was last night checking reports that Angolan troops tracking gunmen who abducted an English geologist and three other workers from a diamond mine had found three bodies.
Mr Jason Pope (24), from Devon, two Filipinos and a South African were kidnapped in last Sunday's attack at Yetwene, about 370 miles east of the capital, Luanda, before dawn on Sunday. Eight employees, including two other Britons, were killed and 18 others wounded.
