The Orange Order must take to heart the immense damage done to its reputation by the Drumcree crisis, the Church of Ireland Bishop of Down and Dromore, Dr Gordon McMullan, has said.

Dr McMullan (62), who announced his forthcoming retirement as bishop at his diocesan synod in Belfast yesterday, said the Orange Order could not ignore the "thuggish behaviour" of some of its members during the summer.
