Some 250,000 cyclists rode through the streets of the German capital today in a massive demonstration for more respect from car drivers, according to organisers.
Under the motto, "Respect for bicycle riders", the cyclists rode through 16 different routes, covering a total of more than 300 miles of Berlin streets.
Organiser Mr Benno Koch said riders also wanted to show "the still under-estimated potential of the bicycle as an everyday means of transportation".
Mr Koch said participants included cyclists from the United States, Russia and Great Britain as well as Germany.
