Gardai in Carrick on Shannon, Co Leitrim, have appealed for information on the snatching of a bag containing £10,000 in cash and cheques in the town last Friday evening. It is understood a woman staff member of the local Motor Taxation Office, while lodging the day's takings at the AIB branch on Main Street, had her shoulder bag snatched.
