Author and feminist June Levine died in Tallaght hospital last night after a sudden illness. She was 76.
The Dublin-born author penned two best-selling books, Sisters, a personal history of the Irish feminist movement, and Lyn(with Lyn Madden) a story of prostitution.
She began a career in journalism as a reporter with The Irish Timesand also worked as a researcher on RTÉ's Late Late Show.
She is survived by her husband, Prof Ivor Browne, and her two sons and a daughter.
