CANBERRA - A terminally-ill Australian taxi driver, with hope fading of becoming the first person to die under the world's first voluntary euthanasia law, will leave the Northern Territory and return home, his doctor said yesterday.
Mr Max Bell's attempt to commit suicide under a territory law which came into force last week has so far been stymied by doctors' fears of prosecution if challenges against the law are successful, Dr Philip Nitschke said.
