Manila - ASEAN foreign ministers opened their annual meeting with an unprecedented display of open discord which some members warned could break up the group amid a grave regional economic crisis.
Malaysia and Singapore attacked fellow founding members, Thailand and the Philippines, which had suggested that members comment on each other's internal affairs to nip problems in the bud.
