Barcelona based curator Rosa Martinez has come up with a diverse lineup for this year's EV+A which is open from today in Limerick. Friends and Neighbours, as the show is subtitled, reflects Martinez's belief that artists can "create connections and dialogue between art, people and place". Rubbing shoulders will be 17 international and 20 Irish artists, including Jeanine Antoni, Mona Hatoum, Pipilotti Rist, Caroline McCarthy, Katie Holten, Ruth Rogers and Xu Bing. As ever, EV+A doesn't confine itself to the gallery but spreads out across the city. But start at the Limerick City Gallery on Pery Square. Pictured (right) is Tango by artist Jim Savage.
