A man was arrested last night following the seizure of more than £2 million worth of ecstasy tablets, writes Chris Dooley
About 180,000 tablets, with an estimated street value of £2.16 million, were seized by customs officers when the man was detained at Rosslare Harbour, Co Wexford.
A 36-year old UK national, he had arrived on a ferry from France, but his journey is understood to have originated in Spain.
He was driving a truck carrying machinery parts which was searched by officers, who uncovered the drugs.
