Lance Armstrong's team mate Victor Hugo Pena has become the first Colombian to lead the Tour de France.
Pena's U.S. Postal team won this afternoon's fourth stage, a 69-km team time trial between Joinville and St Dizier.
Armstrong's team, who had never won a team time trial on the Tour, clocked one hour 18.27 seconds, while Spain's ONCE, winners of similar stages on the Tour in 2000 and last year, were second in 1:18.57. Bianchi, the team of Germany's1997 Tour winner Jan Ullrich, were third in 1:19.10.
Pena took the leader's yellow jersey off Frenchman Jean-Patrick Nazon, whose Jean Delatour team were more than three minutes off the pace. Armstrong, who bids for a record-equalling fifth stage, now lies second overall, one second behind Pena.
