In inquest into the deaths of two Argentinian seamen killed on the Panamanian registered oil tanker, the Princess Evatoday gave a verdict of accidental death.

Mr Andres Manrique (29) and his colleague Mr Pedro Sanchez died while atempting to secure a lifeboat to the deck of the ship in heavy weather on January 28th this year some 130 miles off the west coast.

The inquest heard that the men died after being hit by a freak wave. The ship sustained a hairline fracture in its hull in the same incident and was forced to offload its cargo.
