The body of a woman in her 40s was found on open ground in Ennis Co Clare this morning.
Gardai have not yet been able to identify the woman who was found unconscious near Clarecastle.
She was taken to Ennis General Hospital where she later died.
She is described as being in her mid to late 40's, with shoulder length brown / blonde hair and 5 foot 3 inches tall.

She was wearing black boots, black trousers, black top with a three quarter length black fur coat.
She was also wearing a silver chain with a rectangle pendant and a single stone ring on her right hand. Gardai are seeking assistance and can be contacted on 065 - 684-8100.
