The Eircell Amateur Drama International Festival begins in Dundalk this evening when actor and director Tommy McArdle performs the opening ceremony.
Enniscorthy Players follow with Martin McDonagh's The Cripple of Inishmaan which has won awards at the Welsh and All-Ireland Drama Festivals.
The festival will continue until June 6th with entries from England, Germany, the US and Ireland. The adjudicator is Mr Pat Burke.
