Bicycles, people, bands and street artists take over the heart of Dublin this weekend as the Tour de France spawns street events from Jervis Street to Dundrum. The following is a guide to just some of what's on.

Today:

3.00-4.30 p.m.: Barney the Friendly Dinosaur at Dundrum shopping centre. 5.30-6.30 p.m.: Children's Theatrical Workshop. 7.309 p.m.: Le Grand Depart - public presentation of the teams on St Stephen's Green; plus family fun with music and entertainment. 9 p.m.: Oiche Speisialta in Dundrum House.

Shankill Evening: music in Brady's pub.
