Nine people were people were killed, including three migrant workers, and 25 others injured when a fire swept through a karaoke bar in South Korea's southern port city of Busan, police said today.

Police said the victims were drinking and singing at the karaoke lounge in the south eastern port when the blaze broke out.

According to police, three Sri Lankan men and six other South Koreans have died after inhaling toxic gases.

The fire has left 25 other people injured and one of them is in serious condition and the cause is under investigation.
