Athlumney House near Navan, Co Meath, built in the 18th century, is under threat of demolition. Meath County Council has confirmed a decision is due by October 17th on an application from the IDA to demolish the building. The large two-storey house dates from 1700 and was home to the Metge family, who were prominent in Navan's commercial life in the last century.

The house is not listed for preservation in either the Meath County Development Plan or the Navan Development Plan.
