The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr Cowen, has announced grants of £262,000 from his department's Foreign Affairs' Reconciliation Fund. The largest grant of £120,000 goes to Survivors of Trauma, Belfast, which helps victims and their families.

Among the nine other groups to receive grants were: Nexus (£50,000), a Dublin-based Presbyterian youth organisation designed to promote cross-community understanding in Ireland; the Community Games (£30,000); the Ardoyne Fleadh, Belfast (£25,000); and the North Fermanagh Donegal Partnership (£20,000), which promotes social, cultural and economic development in the region.
