A train collided with a bus in central Slovakia today, killing 11 people and injuring about 20 others.

A train collided with a bus in central Slovakia today, killing 11 people and injuring about 20 others.

The national TASR news agency said the collision occurred at a train crossing near the town of Brezno. The bus was carrying 35 people.

TASR said the injured have been taken to nearby hospitals for treatment and several have serious injuries.

The report said the train derailed but its passengers escaped with minor injuries.
