A father and his six sons were among 10 people still being questioned last night by gardai investigating the murder of a Dublin taxi driver earlier this month. Three others arrested, including a woman, were described as associates of the seven. Nine were arrested in a series of dawn raids on Saturday at a number of houses in the Finglas and north west Dublin area. A tenth person was arrested at lunchtime on Saturday. They were being interviewed at a number of stations around the city under section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.

Mr John Dillon (53) from Finglas, a father of four, was shot dead outside his home in Glenties Park. His body was found by his taxi partner in the porch of his home at about 5 a.m. on January 7th when he came to hand over the car.
