Warning on cruise rip-offs

AN AUTHOR described as a "cruise guru" by his publisher warns people going on cruise holidays against rip-offs in his soon-to-be published 2011 Complete Guide to Cruising Cruise Ships. The rip-offs include an additional gratuity line being added to signable receipts for purchases although a 15 per cent gratuity has already been added to the item's cost; charging more for currency conversion than the rate quoted by bank/credit card companies and changing it after the date of transaction, and overcharging for Bingo cards. Published by Berlitz, the guide has been published for 26 years. It will be in shops by October and costs £16.99 (€20.72).
