- SINGLE supplements make travelling alone costly but the Travel Department has solo-friendly coach tours to the Costa Brava where no single room supplement charge is incurred. The escorted holidays include accommodation on a half-board basis and guided tours. Seven nights from October 19th costs €599pp plus tax. Guided tours include Barcelona, Montserrat, wine tasting, Figueras and Girona with entrance to the Dali Museum. The price includes return flights from Dublin, transfers and guided assistance.

Catch:going solo on a coach trip full of couples is not for the faint-hearted so it's a good idea to ask if there will be others travelling alone.
