Limerick: Theatre
Opening today and running until Sunday week, Set in Stoneis by John Sheehy and examines the history of Kilmallock. It stars Cora Fenton and Myles Horgan and runs nightly at 8pm with weekend matinees. See friarsgate.ie
Clare: Lighthouse
The Loop Head Lighthouse in west Clare has opened to the public as part of a trial scheme until the end of August. It opens at 10am-4pm daily and visitors get to take in incredible views from the top of the building. Admission is €3. clare.ie
Belfast: Festival
The Belfast Taste and Music Festival begins on Thursday this week, and runs until Sunday from noon until 10pm daily. It takes place in the Botanic Gardens, and includes a full schedule of live entertainment and family events. belfasttasteandmusicfest.com
Dublin: Horse Show
The annual Dublin Horse Show runs at the RDS this week from Wednesday until Sunday. The Blossom Hill Ladies’ Day is on Thursday, and admission is from €21 with family tickets and concessions available. dublinhorseshow.com
