THE SOCIAL NETWORK:The director of programming at TV3, Ben Frow, told me that he doesn't like Dublin. He was greeting guests at the launch of TV3's autumn schedule in the Lighthouse Cinema in Smithfield on Thursday morning.

“I think the architecture is fantastic, but it’s just so dirty. I wish there were less tourist shops and more bus-stops, since it’s always raining.”

According to Frow, the past year has been financially tough for TV3. “I could have done without the Euros and the Olympics, frankly, although I did enjoy the Olympics and it did very good in the ratings for the other people.”

Dr Danielle Meagher told me that there are “people making up and then there’s more friendships breaking up” in the new series of Dublin Wives. She was joined by co-stars Roz Flanagan, Lisa Murphy, Jo Jordan and Virginia Macari. There was a lot of pouting, and some of the accents were difficult to decipher, but nothing compared to Greg Lake’s accent. The former Geordie Shore star will appear in Celebrity Salon, which will hopefully be subtitled.
