You can hear some inspiring speakers and performances this week in a venue that most of us spend our life avoiding: the Special Criminal Court in Smithfield, Dublin 7. This is the latest instalment of Trailblaze, where changemakers, artists, social entrepreneurs and activists have just six minutes to riff on a theme. This time it’s a James Joyce quote: “Mistakes are the portals of discovery.”

Participants on Tuesday, May 1st will be Mary Nally (Third Age Ireland), Dominic Campbell of Bealtaine, Margaret E Ward (journalist and founder of Women on Air), Kaethe Burt O' Dea from the Lifeline project, Michael Barron of BelongTo, comedian Maeve Higgins, artist Fiona Hallinnan, poet and journalist Colm Keegan.
