Routes to avoid during the week ahead
DUBLIN: The annual St Patrick's Day parade starts at noon. This year it starts at Granby Row and finishes on Patrick's St.
Parade route: Granby Row, Parnell Sq North, Parnell Sq East, O'Connell St - West Lane, O'Connell Bridge, Westmoreland St, College Green, Dame St /Lord Edward St, Christchurch Place, Nicolas St, Patrick St and disperse on Clanbrassil St.
Roads closed: 6am to 12.30pm - Western Way; 7am to 1pm - Dominic St Upper, Mountjoy St, St Mary's Place North, Granby Way, Parnell Sq North, Parnell Sq East, O'Connell St (West Lane), O'Connell Bridge; 7am to 2.00pm - Westmoreland St, College Green, Dame St, Lord Edward St, Christchurch Place; 7am to 2.30pm - Nicholas St, Patrick St; 10am to 3.30pm - Clanbrassil St Lwr (Kevin St to South Circular Rd).
Priory Ave, Stillorgan closed from March 18th 2005 until March 17th 2006, from north of the existing bollards southwards for 55 metres towards junction with Patrician Villas, for completion of social housing scheme at Patrician Villas/Priory Ave. Pedestrian route via Priory Dr, Stillorgan Rd and Patrician Villas.
WICKLOW: Roadworks on main street, Blessington, 9am and approximately 4.30pm.. Delays likely - single lane traffic, and stop-go system.
LAOIS: Timohaun Rd closed for pipelaying - follow signposted diversions.
LOUTH: Old Dundalk-Ardee Rd (N52) closed for building Dundalk Western bypass, 1.25km southwest of its junction with the Knockbridge Rd for 300m. Heynestown Rd (CR165) in townlands of Gibstown and Killally for a distance of 1Km from junction with Old Ardee Rd and N1 Southern link Rd. Alternative route to Dundalk is the N52, N1 Southern Link Rd to Carrolls Junction, Dublin Rd, Hill St, Dundalk.
SLIGO: Safety barrier being built on central reserve of N4 between Carraroe and Collooney. Lane restrictions. Link road between Carraroe Roundabout and Tonafortes Rd closed. Alternative route via Old Tonafortes Rd junction with N4 north of Carraroe Roundabout.
LIMERICK: L1402 Caher Road in Mungret closed until 5pm April 1st for laying 300m storm sewer line. Diversions signposted.
O'Callaghan Strand and North Circular Rd closed. Traffic diverted along Ennis Rd and Lwr Shelbourne Rd to Salesian Roundabout.
CORK: Streets closed for the St Patrick's Day Parade: Fr Matthew Quay, Fr Matthew St, Morrison Quay and Half Moon St from 9am to 5 pm. Emmett Place from 9am to 10pm. St Patrick's St, St Patrick's Quay (Ship St to St Patrick's Bridge), Lavitt's Quay (from Christy Ring Bridge to St Patrick's Bridge), Coburg St, St Patrick's Hill, MacCurtain St, Anderson's Quay, Merchant's Quay, Parliament St, South Mall, Tuckey St, Washington St, (Courthouse St to Grand Parade), Paul St, and Morgan St closed 11am to 2.30pm; Oliver Plunkett St closed until 5pm.
Traffic restrictions at Jack Lynch Tunnel. Southbound bore closed, northbound bore contra flow from 8pm until 7am Monday to Thursday, 7am Saturday until 6pm on Sunday.
Watercourse Rd closed from O'Connell St to Blackpool Bridge. Use alternative route.
Major roadworks/plant crossing periodically 2km south of Rathcormack, for construction of N8 Fermoy bypass.
