Routes to avoid this week
DUBLIN: New Wyattville bridge over N11 open. Northbound traffic on N11 from Dún Laoghaire use left hand slip road to cross bridge. All U-turns on both north and southbound lanes closed, so use the bridge.
Traffic through the Dublin Port Tunnel works on Swords Rd at Whitehall directed to new stretch of temporary road. This new road will be in place until further notice.
New quality bus corridors have been introduced on St Stephens Green South and West, so expect delays.
Fleetwood Mac play in Point Theatre, November 19th & 20th, 8 p.m. Big attendance expected so traffic heavier along the North Quays, East Wall Rd and northbound at Eastlink Tollbridge.
CORK: Lower Glanmire Road closed, will not re-open until December 4th at least. Inbound traffic divert via Jack Lynch Tunnel or Mayfield on to North Ring Rd.
Works on N71(Cork-Bandon Rd) at Viaduct dual carriageway. Cork city-bound traffic diverts to west-bound carriageway, two-way system in operation, delays expected. Allow extra time or use alternative route.
KERRY: Works on N21 between Tralee and Ballycarty between Ratass at the east of Tralee town and Ballycarty Roundabout where N21 and N22 meet.
GALWAY: Works on N6 dual carriageway from Western Motors roundabout to Doughiska roundabout. Inbound and outbound traffic one lane. Expect some delays for the duration.
LAOIS: Works on Old Dublin Rd, by Portlaoise Prison, part of Midland Broadband Project. Temporary lights Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
OFFALY: Congestion expected outbound on Kilbeggan Rd, opposite the hospital - lane restrictions. Diversions in place, Tuesday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
DONEGAL: Broadband works under way in Letterkenny on approach road to Port Bridge, causing minor delays.
LEITRIM: Delays in Carrick-on-Shannon on N4 and around the town.
LOUTH: Works on Dundalk to Armagh Road (N177) from junction with N1 at Lisdoo Arms. Delays likely, traffic single lane.
TIPPERARY: Resurfacing on N8, Dublin side of Cashel, expect major delays. Lane restrictions and temporary traffic lights . Also in Tipperary there are ongoing works on N7 at Birdhill - major delays.
KILKENNY: Major works on N9/N24 at Granny Junction. Temporary traffic lights, alternative routes sign posted.
CARLOW: Works on N80 north of Bunclody, 8 a.m. until 7 p.m. daily, Monday - Saturday.
