Routes to avoid during the week ahead
DUBLIN:
On Sunday November 13th from 1pm-7pm, Temple Road, Blackrock from Sweetmans Avenue to Barclay Court will close. The alternative route for city bound traffic will be via Frascati Road, Rock Hill and Main Street, Blackrock. The alternative route for southbound traffic will be via Frascati Road and Newtown Avenue.
On Saturday, November 12th from 7am until 7pm, the southbound carriageway from Collins Avenue to the Coolock Interchange will be closed. This is for Dublin Port Tunnel Works. Traffic delays are likely through Santry Village and on the Shantalla Road, the Beaumont Road, and on the N32 and the Malahide Road.
On Saturday November 12th, Shanganagh Road is closed at the junction with Commons Road from 8am until 6pm. This is for final surfacing works as part of the Shanganagh River Management Scheme. A traffic management plan will be in operation, and diversions will be signposted.
A section of the Spawell roundabout on the N81 will be temporarily closed on the following days:
Friday November 11th, at 8pm, to Monday November 14th, at 6am, and Friday November 18th, at 8pm to Monday November 21st at 6am.
MEATH:
Works are in place for the Dunshaughlin QBC on the N3 north of Dunshaughlin until mid-December. Traffic restrictions will be in place to facilitate the QBC's safe construction. Long delays are expected for the duration of the construction.
LAOIS:
Until the end of November, roadworks will be in operation on the R428, Stradbally to Athy Road. Temporary lights will be in place, so expect delays.
CORK:
Shandon Street will remain closed inbound from Cathedral Road to Church Street until Wednesday November 30th. This is for the Shandon Street Urban Renewal Scheme.
KERRY:
Until Friday November 18th, there are roadworks on the N86 at Blennerville village, Tralee from Station House Restaurant and Bar to the centre of the village. Motorists should use alternative routes where possible.
LIMERICK:
Essential road resurfacing is being carried out along Dublin Road (R445) from its junction with Pennywell Road to its junction with the Parkway Roundabout, until Wednesday, November 16th.
LEITRIM:
Until the week of November 20th , there will be resurfacing work on the N4 through Dromod village and between Dromod and Roosky.
It will be ongoing for two weeks. Motorists are advised to expect delays on the N4 between Dromod and Rooskey during this time.
